LUMI is a word derived from Finnish and Albanian, which means “light”. LUMI PET means “pets are like the light of life”.In 2021, I remember that the winter of that year was very cold. The biting wind is not enough to describe its coldness, because its coldness makes me feel scared when I think about it! On January 13, 2021, I lay down and slept as soon as I got home from get off work. Soon, my mother came back. She pushed open the door of my room and called me. I agreed in a daze and continued to sleep. Suddenly, there was a loud scream. I jumped up from the bed while sleeping, but my mother fell down. Three days later, my mother woke up and thought everything was getting better. She found that the sequelae of the operation was that my mother lost her ability to move. In the first three months, she was very active in cooperating with the rehabilitation. Later, during the long rehabilitation process, one day she suddenly realized that she would never get better again. My mother began to be depressed, painful, and silent. In a later chat, she told me that during that time, she wanted to end her life every day.
On December 12, 2021, the second day of my wedding, I finally waited for the cat Xiaokuang, who appeared like a ray of light in my life. I took her home. My mother didn’t seem to like her. She thought she didn’t have the ability to take care of Xiaokuang, but I still kept the cat cruelly. Time passed like this. Suddenly one day, she sent me a video of Xiaokuang. Xiaokuang was sleeping beside her, Xiaokuang was lying on her legs eating snacks, and Xiaokuang was rubbing her hand that couldn’t move. At that moment, I felt her happiness. In the later life, my mother also loved life more and more. But when she went out, she was always frustrated because she couldn’t take Xiaokuang with her, so I made a necklace, ring, and bracelet with cat elements for her.
